Bienvenidos a la clase de español!
I am originally from Minnesota, but moved to Kansas to attend graduate school in 2002. I currently live in Olathe with my husband Alan, our son Anderson, and two cats.
I received my undergraduate degree in Spanish Studies from the University of Minnesota, my teaching degree from the University of Kansas, and my Master's degree in Education from Emporia State University. I also achieved National Board Certification in 2011.
This will be my 13th year with the Olathe district; previously I taught at Olathe East, Chisholm Trail, and in Minnesota. Additionally, I spend my morning working as the District Coordinator for the International Language Department, where I assist all language teachers across the district with implementing current research/best practices, curriculum, resources, professional development and other district initiatives.
I'm very excited to be joining Olathe South this school year. Thanks for welcoming me into the building as I welcome you into my classroom!
